Prior to joining LogMeIn in 2011, Rob was employed at Thermo Fisher Scientific where he participated in a management training program, culminating in a position on the investor relations team. Prior to Thermo Fisher Scientific he attended the Carroll School of Management at Boston College where he received his MBA. Rob started his career in finance with introductory roles at State Street and Columbia Management, after serving in the Peace Corps for two years in Ukraine. He lives in Needham with his wife and three children.


James Hillier, President-Elect

James Hillier is Vice President of Investor Relations at IPG Photonics, the world leader in high-power fiber lasers and amplifiers. In this role, he has developed and led the company’s investor relations program since January 2017. Previously, James served as Vice President of Investor Relations at Demandware, the industry-leading provider of enterprise cloud commerce solutions, which was acquired by Salesforce in 2016. He also served as Vice President of Investor Relations at PTC, a global provider of software to discrete manufacturers used to design, operate, and service complex products. Prior to his career in investor relations, James spent 14 years as a sell-side equity research analyst, 13 of which were at UBS, where he served as a Director and senior analyst. While at UBS, he specialized in the coverage of the global technology industry, both as a technology strategist and a research analyst covering the communications equipment industry. James holds a B.A. in Economics and English from the University of Pennsylvania.

Sarah Carmody is Director, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at Momenta Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: MNTA). She is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive investor and public relations program that effectively communicates Momenta’s business strategy, vision and goals. Previously Sarah served as the Associate Director of Investor Relations at Idera Pharmaceuticals. Prior to joining Idera, she spent six years at Verenium, an industrial biotechnology company, where she held positions with increasing responsibility in corporate communications and investor relations.

Sarah holds an MBA from Suffolk University and a BA in Psychology and Mass Communications from Quinnipiac University.

Gerry Gould is currently Vice President of Investor Relations at Haemonetics Corporation (NYSE: HAE), a medical equipment, software and services company in the blood management business. Gerry is an executive level Investor Relations professional, skilled at designing and implementing world-class Investor Relations programs that advance investor participation, facilitate analyst involvement and ensure a company’s key messaging is delivered to Wall Street, the financial media and employees. He brings twenty years of experience in investor relations and corporate communications, having previously held the VP-IR role at RSC Equipment Rental, The Stanley Works (now Stanley Black & Decker) and Wyman-Gordon Company.

Gerry has been a member of NIRI for 20 years. Jason Fredette, IRC, is an award-winning investor relations professional with more than 15 years of experience raising and enhancing the profile of public companies. Jason currently serves as Senior Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at Selecta Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: SELB), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company.

Before joining Selecta, he led investor relations, public relations and corporate marketing for Chiasma, Inc., Select Income REIT, Government Properties Income Trust and American Superconductor Corporation. Jason began his career in investor relations serving clients in a broad range of industries at Sharon Merrill Associates (SMA), a nationally recognized investor relations and corporate communications strategic advisory firm.

He has been recognized by Institutional Investor Magazine in its Best Investor Relations Professional listings, and his work was integral to SMA’s attainment of three Publicity Club of New England Bell Ringer Awards during his agency tenure.

Jason earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Westfield State University.

Jamie A. Bernard, IRC, joined Sharon Merrill Associates, a strategic investor relations and critical communications advisory firm, in 2011 and is a Senior Associate. Oksana Lukasheva is Vice President, Investor Relations at The Hanover Insurance Group. Prior to joining The Hanover, Oksana held various financial and credit analysis roles, as well as portfolio reporting roles at ExxonMobil, CBSF Capital Management and BNP-Dresdner Bank (Moscow).

Emily Walt most recently served as the Director, Investor Relations at Carbonite, Inc. (NASDAQ: CARB). Prior to joining Carbonite, Emily spent six years at EMC (NYSE: EMC), the first three as a Global Investor Relations Manager and the remaining three creating communications programs internally for Global Sales and the Corporate Finance division. Before EMC, Emily was an Investor Relations Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific (NYSE: TMO). Prior to that she coordinated the financial and marketing functions for SV Life Sciences, a venture capital firm and was the Communications Associate & Web Project Manager for Boston Capital, a real estate investment company. She received her B.S. in Financial Management from Boston University. Andy is responsible for Teradyne’s investor relations and corporate communications, a position he has held since 2009. Jackie has nearly a decade of experience implementing investor relations programs, as well as providing special situations counsel including IPOs, spin-offs, shareholder activism, and M&A support across multiple sectors. Prior to joining Alpha IR, Ms. Marcus was a Senior Account Supervisor in Edelman’s Financial Communications & Capital Markets practice in New York, and a Senior Consultant with FTI Consulting in San Francisco. Ms. Marcus began her career with Affiliated Managers Group (NYSE: AMG) on the North Shore.

McCahon joined TDS in 2009 as vice president of corporate relations, and became corporate secretary in 2013. Before joining TDS, McCahon was a principal with Massachusetts-based Conway Communications, which developed investor relations programs for a diverse range of companies. Prior to that, she was vice president of corporate relations for Eastern Enterprises in Weston, MA, and served as manager of investor relations for Waban, Inc. (now BJ’s Wholesale Club). McCahon is a member of the Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals, and a member and former chair of NIRI. She is a co-founder and former chair of the NIRI Ethics Council, and has also served on the NIRI Senior Roundtable Steering Committee. McCahon received a BA in economics and finance from Bentley College and a JD from Suffolk University Law School.


Karen Warren, Honorary Director


Karen Warren retired in 2010, after 25 years in investor relations, as Senior Vice President of Investor Relations at Hasbro, Inc. Prior to joining Hasbro, Karen was Senior Vice President (SVP) of IR at State Street Corporation in Boston. Before that, she held senior level IR positions at Shiva Corp, FTP Software, and was SVP of Corporate Communications and Strategic Planning at Sterling Bancshares Corporation and Sterling Bank.

She is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI). She is former Chairman of the Board of Directors of NIRI National and past president of the Boston Chapter of NIRI, where she currently serves as an Honorary Director. In 2013, NIRI National inducted her into the inaugural class of NIRI Fellows and in 2010, they recognized her for Individual Chapter Leadership. Additionally, she is past President of the Investor Relations Association and a founding member of the NIRI National Ethics Council.

Previously, she taught Investor Relations at the Graduate School of Communications Management at Simmons College and has been a guest lecturer at Bentley College and the University of Rhode Island.

Prior to beginning her career in investor relations in 1987, she held a number of positions professionally and in the community, including serving on the Chelmsford Zoning Board of Appeals, Traffic and Safety Committee and the Home Rule Advisory Committee. Additionally, she was a police officer, professional photographer and an Emergency Medical Technician.

Karen received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Boston College, Masters in Communications Management from Simmons College and her Associates Degree from Middlesex Community College.
